What is the magic that is Blue Magik?

and why are people buying into this trend?

A great question! It could be because of the vibrant blue it turns your morning smoothie bowl. It could be because it’s a trend that’s started to circulate in the last year or so. But I think what it really comes down to is that people are seeing that it gives them vitality throughout their day-to-day lives.

Blue Magik will leave you feeling energized and less inflamed, as it provides protein, B vitamins (especially good for all you plant-eaters out there like myself), and serves as an anti-inflammatory. It’s aesthetically pleasing and inspires creativity.

You can use it in different ways. I’ve seen it mixed into a lemonade or a limeade. I’ve seen it simply blended into a morning smoothie. My favorite way is in a smoothie bowl, as its vibrant color stands out.

Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients

2 Frozen Bananas
3 ounces of Almond Milk or your favorite nut milk
1 teaspoon of Vanilla
1/2 teaspoon of Blue Magik
Crunchy granola
Sliced fruit
Coconut flakes
Honey, to drizzle

Throw your frozen banana, almond milk, vanilla and blue magik into a high speed, vitamix blender. Use tamper to make sure your frozen fruit is completely blended. You should form a thick, smoothie base.

Using a spatula, scoop your blue smoothie mixture into a beautiful bowl of choice (I like wooden bowls) and top with desired toppings. I used Pure Elizabeth’s Coconut Cashew granola, toasted coconut flakes, and fresh sliced Texas peaches (gotta eat them while I can!)
